30th Brigade – North Carolina National Guard

SPC Kournegay is a member of the 30th Brigade of the North Carolina Army National Guard. SPC Kournegay recently deployed to Annual Training with the unit, and he is scheduled to be deployed to Iraq at the end of the year. During his Annual Training deployment his family had some financial hardships. The North Carolina Heroes Fund was able to help the Kournegays from being evicted and they are on a financial even footing as he prepares to deploy to Iraq.
