Alyssa Matty's father, SSG Michael, is in the active reserves and served in Iraq in 2004 when he lost his Pizzeria business due to his deployment. Alyssa is currently a sophmore at Appalachian State University and works part-time at a coffeeshop. She has been on the Dean's List every semester. Alyssa plans to become a grade school teacher. The Heroes Fund is proud to offer Alyssa with a partial scholarship towards her tuition at Appalachian State. |
