Hank Henning, a Marine Corps veteran, was first elected in 2012 to the Board of County Commissions. Having recently served as the 2015 Chairman of the Board, Henning represents Guilford’s 6th District.
In addition to his official duties, Henning serves as the Board of Commissioners’ liaison to the High Point Economic Development Committee and is active in numerous civic and volunteer organizations, including the Greensboro Airport Rotary Club and the High Point Chamber of Commerce.
Henning also sits on the Board of Directors for Greensboro Academy Charter School, War Memorial Foundation and The NC Heroes Fund. Professionally, Henning works in a sales role in the HVAC industry
In 2007, Henning and his family moved to Guilford County after a 4-year stint in United States Marine Corps (2003-2007), including two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. In 2003, Henning left his private sector career to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.
